9/11 Memorial and Museum 5K Run/Walk 2024

Participant Arrival
Race participants should plan to arrive at the North Cove Marina at 7:00 a.m. to allow time for security screening. There will be warm-up activities and refreshments available for all registrants. The kickoff program will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. and the Run/Walk will start at 8:15 a.m. 

Spectators
Friends or family attending to cheer you on will not be admitted into the start area. They should plan to meet you at the finish line on Greenwich Street adjacent to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, where we’ll also have fun activities for all ages!
 
Transportation and Parking
Street parking in the immediate vicinity of Brookfield Place and the 9/11 Memorial & Museum is extremely limited. We strongly encourage participants to use public transportation. If arriving by car, the best address to provide for GPS is 225 Liberty Street. There will be ample directional signage at the entrance.

If you decide to drive yourself on Sunday, discounted parking is available for all race participants at the 200 Liberty Street SP+ Parking location via this exclusive link. The entrance to this garage is located at 219 Albany Street. Please note that for security purposes, your vehicle will be inspected by a garage attendant.

Race Bags
Each participant will receive a race bag with their bib. This will be the only bag allowed on the route and it will be provided at advance bib pick-up and on race day. Participants will NOT be allowed to bring any additional bags or large containers. Bags with shoulder straps including backpacks, drawstring bags, hydration packs or messenger bags are not permitted and there is no bag check area. Please leave personal items that do not fit in the provided race bag with a non-participant friend or family member and they can meet you at the finish line. Otherwise you run the risk of these items being discarded. 

Packet Pickup
As in years past, you will have two opportunities to pick up your race day packet ahead of the event. Advanced Bib Pickup will be available at 75 Rockefeller Plaza, 27th Floor in Manhattan on Wednesday, April 24 and Thursday, April 25 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. 

If you are unable to pick up your packet in advance, you can do so on Race Day from 7:00 a.m, - 7:30 a.m. at Brookfield Place.

Stroller & Pet Policy
To ensure the safety of our 5K participants, strollers are permitted only for those walking the route and are subject to a security check at entry. Timed Runners may not use strollers.

Service dogs will be permitted only to aid a person with a disability. To ensure the safety of our 5K participants, service dogs will be only for those with an Untimed Walker registration. If you have any questions, please contact runwalk@911memorial.org.
