ABOUT THE 9/11 MEMORIAL & MUSEUM 5K RUN/WALK

On Sunday, April 28, 2024, thousands will once again come together in lower Manhattan to remember all those killed over two decades ago and honor the heroes who put their own lives at risk to save others. Their stories of service, sacrifice, resilience, and hope can be our sources of strength in the face of present-day challenges.

The 9/11 Memorial & Museum 5K is presented by RXR and is for runners and walkers of all ages. The event will start near Brookfield Place in Battery Park and will take participants through scenic Battery Park, along the waterfront esplanade with iconic views of One World Trade Center and the Statue of Liberty, before finishing on Greenwich Street adjacent to the 9/11 Memorial.

The 9/11 Memorial & Museum is operated by a 501(c)(3) charity organization that relies on the generosity of its donors and visitors to fulfill its mission to commemorate, educate and inspire. All funds raised from the 5K help maintain the 9/11 Memorial & Museum and grow our education programs, ensuring that new generations understand the context, lessons, and ongoing impact of September 11, 2001. Register and fundraise today to help us educate the more than 100 million young people born since the day that changed our world forever.

There are rewards and prizes for fundraisers. All race participants receive free Museum admission and an official 5K t-shirt.

More than two decades later, you can help the 9/11 Memorial & Museum continue to fulfill its mission and our collective promise never to forget.
